Go on a shopping trip

The Westfield Euralille shopping centre is home to more than 100 fashion, home and media shops and is not to be missed! A must for all shopping lovers!

Are unique, one-of-a-kind shops more your thing? Then take a stroll through old Lille’s pedestrian streets and discover its array of designer boutiques, second-hand shops and delicatessens.


Eat out

Lille is a food lover’s paradise! While there are of course well-known fast-food restaurants like McDonald’s and O’Tacos, we recommend La Bottega or l’Arrière-pays. Our top pick? A visit to Meert patisserie, a Lille institution since 1677, to try some of its celebrated waffles!

Just want to have a drink with friends? Then Rue Masséna is THE place to go, a very popular area for students and young professionals for its nightlife. More authentic, Iif you’re taking a stroll through old Lille, why not stop off at the Quai des bananes for a delicious cocktail or the Café Oz for a drink?

Watch a film or listen to music

Good news for film buffs! UGC Ciné Cité Lille cinema is less than a ten-minute walk from your student residence. With more than 20 films a week, as well as previews, there is always something on.

Lille is also perfect for music lovers! There are no fewer than three music venues just minutes away from your residence. Check out L’Aéronef, Le Nouveau Siècle or Zénith de Lille for a wide range of concerts!

Fan of culture ? Many activities for students are free in Lille such as visits to museums, cathedrals etc...

Want to get a breath of fresh air? Then visit the 110 hectares of the Parc de la Citadelle! With everything from running, cycling and yoga to paddle boarding, orienteering and high-ropes courses, there’s something for everyone!

Love the smell of the sea on a sunny day? Then the beaches on the Opal Coast are a must! Easy to get to by bus or train, Wissant and Berck-sur-Mer are well-known for sand yachting, kitesurfing , kayaking and canoeing! Are you going to take the plunge?

How about a weekend getaway a little further afield? As the third largest business district in France, Lille Euralille is the ideal place to start your next European adventure.
